Dance Companies and guest performers from across the country will converge in New York City when Locust Contemporary Dance Works (LCDW) - Connecticut’s premiere youth contemporary jazz company - celebrates its 11th season with “Define,” a multi-media dance festival at 6 pm on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Peridance’s Salvatore Capezio Theater. Along with performances by LCDW’s Founder/Director - renowned choreographer/dancer/actor Jimmy Locust - the concert will include special guest performances by Locust’s Connecticut Jazz Ensemble; Isodoc Dance Group, founded by LCDW alumnus Jeff Docimo; Axam Dance Theater Experience of Atlanta, GA led by Dawn Axam; t move Dance Co., a youth dance company from Chagrin Falls, OH led by Tuni Deignan; performers from Stella’s Dancers’ Studio of Cooper City, FL directed by Stella Palumbo; and LCDW II and Locust Preparatory Company, youth ensembles from Locust Performing Arts Center (LPAC) of Stamford, CT. Other highlights will include a duet featuring LCDW alumnus Dijon Whyte; a solo by Katelynn Draper; live music from singer/songwriter/recording artist Drew Yowell and guitarist Jeffrey Vaccino; and works by visual artist Mindy Vaccino.
All attendees must present their printed ticket at box office upon arrival to receive performance program. The program is your ticket to the performance. Attendees will not be permitted into the theater without a program.
